Our Super FlashLight!

This is a great RGB LED learning tool because it has so many options for changing colors and making dazzling light displays. This keeps the students interest in learning. We recommend the Super Lamp if the primary reason for it is for learning in class and you have access to power at each station, however if you want to carry it around with you, this is the ticket. This comes with an extra set of batteries.

Be sure to follow all of the comments in the program when changing the code. The capability to burn out the LEDs and ruin the batteries and/or the Nano is at your fingertips! Take this warning seriously and it will last a very long time. To be specific, the Arduino allows for brightness levels of between 0 and 255. Due to the fact that we packed 47 LEDs in this package, you MUST keep the brightness level down to 127 (255/2) on each LED. This is not a handicap at all as you would see when you TRIED to look directly at them using 127 as the intensity. The warning is because the Nano can only handle small current levels at each digital pin. Please do not attempt to burn your house down or worse by ignoring this very serious warning! If you are a risk taker (i.e stupid), do not purchase this product!

Also, if the brightness bothers you, wear protective eyewear like sunglasses or put a piece of onionskin paper (even a sheet of bond paper will work) over the lens. You can even put it over the lens by unscrewing the lens cover. We do not provide lens protection because most people want to reflect the colors off a wall or something. This warning was carefully crafted by a concerned Grandparent wanting to keep you safe! :)
